Free Hour Long Webinar
When you use descriptors you can see not only what major themes emerge from your project, but how themes appear when segmented by demographics or other variables. You might find that women talk about the themes in your project differently or more frequently than men, or find that those in the same income bracket, but different regions hold different beliefs. Descriptors can lead to valuable insight when you know how to use them and yet, they can cause users some confusion when they are just starting out.
Through this webinar you will learn what descriptors are, why they are important to your mixed methods analysis, and the basics of how to use them. The webinar will be one hour lon and will be lead by our CEO and Co-Founder Dr. Eli Lieber. While we will be making adjustments to the webinar based on questions that come in prior to the session, our plan is to cover the following:
- Dedoose without descriptors – the 5 minute overview of qualitative vs. mixed methods
- What descriptors are and what they bring to a mixed methods analysis
- A walk through of an example of descriptors in action
- We will also briefly touch on the advanced use of descriptors from using multiple descriptor sets, dynamic descriptors fields, and descriptor based data filtering.

This webinar was created with our current users in mind so we will not be covering anything about Dedoose’s basic structure or offering a general outline of features. If you have general questions about Dedoose you can certainly attend one of our free one-hour demos. Here is the blog outlining the upcoming dates/times of these events: www.dedoose.com/blog/free-dedoose-demos/
